What to Expect
We know visiting a church for the first time can feel like a big step. We want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive.
What happens during the service?

The service leader explains as we go through the service, but typically this includes some singing, praying, Bible teaching and some space to connect with other Christians.
Informal services

We’re an informal church with no set liturgy or rituals. No church pews, but chairs that can be moved around, and the building looks like a community centre.

We have modern sung worship, and we also believe God can speak to us today. We read the Bible together, and a speaker helps us to understand and apply it. There is also a chance to connect with each other over tea and coffee after the service.
Dress code

We are a relaxed church with a casual, come-as-you-are, yet modest type of dress code.

We want to be ourselves, while at the same time respecting each other
Crèche Room and Kids Church

Kids Church is for Primary School children and happens during term time as part of our service. You can sign in on the day.

Crèche Room is open for the younger children - it's a space with toys for families to take their children to. The space has a speaker and a view of the worship hall, so that parents can still engage with the service.
Youth

Rooted youth group - runs on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month during part of the service. On the other sundays there are opportunities to serve and participate in the service.
What if I don’t have English as my first language?

You are not alone! Our services are in English, but we use slides to highlight the main points of our talks. You may ask a friend to translate. We offer free English Classes on Saturdays from 10.30 am.
Do I need to bring anything?

No, we will even provide a Bible for you to use if you do not have one
Will I be expected to give to the church

There is no expectation for visitors to give financially to NRBC
